Event Dates: March 18, 2011 - March 20, 2011 Location: Portland, Oregon This will be a first time ever event that the movie & TV theme cars are grouped together and judged against each other. There will be local celebrity picks along with judged categories that the judges will have to follow a strict criteria for the judging. This is an American Movie Car Association A.M.C.A. sanctioned event and A.M.C.A. rules will be followed as far as the judging. This 3 day event is going to be held in conjunction with the 55th annual Portland Roadster Show and is going to be huge. There will be local celebrities, superhero costumed people, lots of media and a few honored guests at our car club booth. "Best Of Show Award" by the father & son team who make the Grammy & the Latin Grammy awards as seen on TV every year. The award will come with a certificate of Authenticity and will be a true collectors item. Once this show is over, there will be a book going to print that will be written solely on the 2011 West Coast Movie & TV Theme Car Championships. Trust me you will want to be a part of this event and the spots will be limited. You will want to be part of this inaugural event.

Cool Poster for sure! We are all excited about the event up here in Washington, and have been spreading the word to everyone in the international roster of IMTVOA. Lets hope we get folks from al over the country (and further) for this event. Hungry for information about the new sanctioning body "American Movie Car Association", what the rules are to be like, and how to become directly involved and contribute.

You can bet you folks will be the first group to receive the information. A couple more meetings to go and the information will be more ironed out and ready to share. Yes it will be nice to get a draw from all over the place. Spaces are going to be somewhat limited for this event so hard to say how far someone will travel for it. I do feel it is a launching pad for more big Movie & TV theme car events to come.

Just received word today that the event posters will be hung up at all the Baxter Auto Parts stores here in the Portland area. Thank you to Ty Baxter and Damon Coates for helping out with this. Everybody support Baxter Auto Parts, the best auto parts stores in the Portland area. Nice to see a local big business helping out a small local business.

Hello Everyone, We are just over 4 weeks away from the West Coast Movie & TV Theme Car Championships. This is going to be a fantastic inaugural event that isn't just a never before seen movie car competition, it is a celebration of the Hollywood Hot Rod lifestyle. Just added as a guest for the event is Movie Car Builder and Collector Jay Ohrberg, a unique member of the Hollywood community. He has created some of the most famous and spectacular vehicles on the large and small screens alike. Some of his work includes; KITT for the Knight Rider 2000 film. Jay also built the "super pursuit mode" version for the final season of the TV series. Several Bat vehicles for the 1992 Batman Returns film. Special guest Gene Winfield is still on board as a special guest. For over 60 years, Gene Winfield has established himself and one of the premier customizers and car builders in the world. His iconic creations include "Star Trek" Galileo Shuttlecraft, The Piranha from Man From UNCLE, Catwoman's Kitty Car driven by Ertha Kitt in the 1960s Batman TV series, the Reactor, Police Spinners from Blade Runner and countless more! Here's your opportunity to meet the legendary Gene Winfield all 3 days at the show. Come meet American Graffiti’s Candy Clark. Candy Clark is best known for her role as Debbie Dunham in the 1973 hit film American Graffiti, which garnered her an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress. This will also be your chance to see a beautiful replica of the 1966 Batmobile as seen on the 1960s Batman TV series. This northwest car rarely makes appearances, so now is your chance to come see this iconic car in person. I also want to announce that Carl's Jr. is the major sponsor of the West Coast Movie & TV Theme Car Championships. This is huge for us to be associated with a huge corporate entity such as Carl's Jr. We have people all over the United States watching what we are putting together as far as this show goes. If this show is the success that I feel it will be, we will have launched a rocket that will be exploding with a new concept that will be affecting people all over the United States. That being the case, is the reason why I have focused a lot of efforts into forming a national organization, hence the American Movie Car Association (A.M.C.A.) so we can be a major network group for movie & TV car fans all over the United States. I want to personally thank everyone of you that has entered your car in this competition. It is you folks that are making this show the success that I know it will be. I look forward to seeing what all you bring to the show, as a lot of you I haven't met yet. I love receiving the emails from all of you that have emailed or called me regarding this event expressing your enthusiasm and excitement. Calvin (Herbie) & I are here to answer all of your questions the best we can as we approach show time! I do want to add that the entries must be post marked no later than February 19th 2011. This is the deadline for the show and I cannot except any entries that do not fall into this time frame, even if we are friends (sorry). Delp's Awards out of Eugene Oregon has to go into production with the official West Coast Movie & TV Theme Car Championships awards beginning February 21st. I will soon be sending out another information email that will contain the things the A.M.C.A. will be looking for when judging the cars.
Sincerely, Tod Becraft President: Cinema Classics Car Club & the A.M.C.A.

Hello again everyone, Time for yet another update concerning the biggest Movie & TV theme car show ever! We just got word today that we have officially filled the last spot for the Movie & TV car part of the show. The last few entries were Mike with his "Emergency" TV show Rescue Rig and Steve with his Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. Thank you to all that have committed to this big event and I'm very sorry for those that didn't make the deadline. I did say the deadline was Feb 19th, but all along I have said first come first serve until the spots were filled, and now they are filled. I received confirmation today that John Billings Jr has booked his plane ticket and will be making an appearance at the West Coast Movie & TV Theme Car Championships. John just got back to his home from the Grammy awards show and booked his plane tickets to Portland Oregon. John Billings and his company are the ones that make the Grammy awards. The Grammy awards show received it's biggest ratings in over 10 years with a viewership of 28.5 million people, that is a lot of people to see John and his company's work. Now he is focused and going to work to make the Best Of Show awards for the West Coast Movie & TV Theme Car Championships. Our show's best of show awards will be called the "Screen Gem" Awards. John will be making a total of three of these awards which will be one for each category. The categories for these awards will be "Replica", "Stock Replica" and "Screen Used". Each category will receive a "Screen Gem" award for top honors in that category. Each award will come with a Certificate Of Authenticity signed by John Billings Jr. himself. John will also be at the Cinema Classics Car Club booth during certain hours on Saturday and Sunday of the show to sign autographs, sell some of his items and promote his website business. This is a great honor to have the man who made the Death Proof Duck, the Bonneville Salt Flats records awards and of course the Grammy awards as a special guest at our booth. I have been saying all along and will continue to say, with this show we are creating something brand new and and exciting. We aren't just creating a car show or displaying a bunch movie cars in a cluster f*#k group. We are celebrating the whole Hollywood Hot Rod lifestyle which includes all aspects of entertainment. We are in the process of creating a new kind of Fan Expo/Comic-Con. We are starting with this show and it will be just the beginning of things to come. This will be the subject of many articles that will follow and folks who are A.M.C.A. members will be the first ones to be kept up to date with stuff as it comes along. The A.M.C.A. isn't just for folks who own movie & TV theme cars, but also for folks who are fans of Movie & TV cars, movies and shows. The San Diego Comi-Con sold out of their 4 day passes in less than an hour 2 weeks ago, it is expected to break it's attendance record of 140,000 plus people that was set in 2010. For those of you that might have more of an interest in this stuff, go back and read the December issue of the Cinema Classics Car Club newsletter, it is full of good information and the article was written by yours truly The point of that being, we are opening the doors to something potentially very big here in Portland Oregon. We are very fortunate to have the good folks of the Multnomah Hot Rod Council be open to the idea of what my goal is, put their faith in us to show them what I believe will be a success. Again this isn't just about a car show, this is a celebration of the Hollywood Hot Rod Lifestyle, one that includes all aspects of entertainment, one that we are helping to create and build. Thank You for your support! Tod Becraft President: Cinema Classics Car Club & the A.M.C.A.

I want to announce that just today we received confirmation that car builder Jeff Budnick will be attending the show and will be spending some time at the Cinema Classics Car Club booth. Mr. Budnick is the head of the transportation crew for the TV shows "Supernatural" & "Smallville". He is the builder and the guy that maintains the Winchester Bros black Impala on "Supernatural". He has built many of the vehicles you have seen in the movies such as the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine in the live action Scooby Doo movies. He is also the guy that built the James Dean "Little Bastard" replica that appeared in Supernatural episode 5 in season 5. It is a perfectly done replica of the car that James Dean was killed in and the whole episode titled "Fallen Idols" is all about the lore of the "Little Bastard" car.

The show began it's loading in of the cars process yesterday and today is the main load in day. From what I have seen so far it looks like we are on track to break the National record for most movie cars in one setting at one time in an official organized event. Number to beat is 25.
