My very first car was a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. My parents bought it brand new from Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in Portland Oregon in 1966. The dealership is still there. It was the first Chevrolet my parents ever owned, before that they always owned a Ford. The car was given to me on my 16th birthday in 1978. When I had turned 15 the year prior and earned my driver's permit, it was the car I learned to drive in. Unfortunately it was totaled when I was making a left turn from Stark street onto 117th in Portland and was hit on the passenger's side by a lady in a truck. Last I heard it was residing in Salem Oregon and was being restored. It would be fun to see that car again someday at a cruise-in and exchange a few stories with the current owner. Attachments:

Well my first car was a Chevette! Don't even remember the year! What a piece of junk that was. It locked up after a month and I abandoned it. Then I got my beloved Buick when I was in college, and that trusty car (even though it was totaled twice on the title) lasted me 7 years! Great ride. Sold it to a friend for $300. Attachments:
